Shelby’s Junior Engineer School is for children of all ages to learn to operate a train. We found riding trains is popular, but getting to operate a train is rare. Shelby started her engineer school in 2012 to allow a unique hands on experience for our guests. We provide basic instructions for operation including speed, safety and horn operation. We take a short trip down the track and back allowing the student engineer to gain a feel of controlling the locomotive using a custom built joystick control. Speed is limited to 2mph allowing children and adults to operate safely. Photography is encouraged and we take photos (with your permission) for our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/trainrides). Price: FREE. Donations to support the club are appreciated. Available on most Sundays, it is located on track 4 in Adobe Station.
