Spring Meet 2026
March 9 - March 22 2026
Welcome to the Maricopa Live Steamers 2026 Spring Meet sign-up.
The first week of the meet is a work week. There will be no open running from before sunrise until after lunch. All attendees will be expected to pitch-in and assist. There will be multiple MOW trains and work opportunities.
Lunch will be provided for all attendees who work during the work week.
The second week of the meet will have open running. There will be some track closures while work continues.
Only two main lines are closed; Serpentine and Farflung after Theobold. Many of the other lines are still having track panels replaced, switches rebuilt or replaced, bridges rebuilt, etc. These may be out-of-service for brief times during open running week.
Maricopa Live Steamers is asking for all meet attendees to donate generously to the track fund. MLS is planning on rebuilding or replacing all the existing track and switches using plastic ties exclusively. All main line track will have steel rails. MLS has made significant progress and with your support we can continue.
Larry Kirchner has generously volunteered to match, at 100%, every donation made to the MLS track fund until April 1st 2026. In total, Larry is willing to match up to a total of $25,000.
(Your coordinator and my fiancee are donating $1,000 so we need another $24,000 for the meet.)
