2025 MLS Spring Meet

Monday, March 17th – Sunday, March 23rd

Work week is Monday, March 10th – Sunday, March 16th

You are invited to join the Maricopa Live Steamers in Phoenix, AZ for their 2024 Spring Meet. You can enjoy the warm weather, the railroad, the trains, the camaraderie of old friends, and maybe discover new ones. This is an open invitation meet, but all attending people must register regardless of their participation. If you are bringing your spouse, friends, children, etc., then they must also be registered. Please register by March 1st, 2025, and complete the Adobe Mountain General Release Form. The release form is required by the Maricopa County Park service for everyone that will be in the park.

There is no registration fee for the Spring Meet. Donations will be accepted at the meet. Lunch should be available Wednesday thru Saturday during the meet week for donations.

The Adobe Western Railroad is in the Adobe Dam Recreation Area, one of Phoenix’s natural parks. The railroad has over eighteen miles of 7.5” gauge track and 1500 feet of 4.75” gauge track. The 3 covered steaming areas, 2 freight yards, and numerous storage tracks provide plenty of space to store engines and trains during the meet. There are numerous charging stations for electric powered engines.

There are coyotes and other critters living within the railroad boundaries. For safety, dogs must always be on a leash.

We use FRS radios with an assigned channel of 5 with privacy code 10. When running on the Serpentine line, the radio is set to 8.10. You will also want to bring a flashlight, warm clothing, and rain gear (it does rain in Phoenix occasionally). Please review our revised Safety and Operating Rules on our website www.maricopalivesteamers.com.

The MLS Track Plan information can also be found on the MLS website as well as a map to the MLS. RV parking and camping are available, but there are no RV hookup facilities.

Upon arrival at MLS, please check in at Ford Station for your name tags, other documents, and view the required safety video. This may be viewed at Ford Station on the provided player, or may be accessed on YouTube at https://youtu.be/2RfZ9TnDi3c. This is required before unloading or running trains.

Dan Benton is the meet coordinator. To contact Dan, please click on the ( Register Here ) button below, scroll to the bottom, and click on the envelope next to his name.

We look forward to seeing you in March 2025.
