Connor Dahl's First Operation Meet at Maricopa Live Steamers, Phoenix AZ.

Connor Dahl came to visit Maricopa Live Steamers in November of 2009 with his grand parents Randy and Lori Hatfield.
He had just recently taken and passed the conductor's exam at Orange County Live Steamers. He was anxious to start applying his
knowledge and dreamt of having an engine of his own. During this visit he met Bob and Bud Waterworth, who saw the delightful excitement of this boy. Connor had reminded them of their own childhood days when they too fell in love with railroads. Bob and Bud took Connor under their wings and gave him and his family a personal tour of Maricopa Live Steamers. Connor was given a intense training session on how to operate their Chicago Belt Railway System GP38 #5241 and was told that if he took and passed the Engineer's Exam at Maricopa Live Steamers he could be our engineer at the 2010 Winterfest Operations Meet in January 2010!
