A friendly reminder ;

that we need to help contain cost at the club.  If you are out at the park running at night (which is great) please remember to turn off the lights that are not in use.  The other night some board members stopped by the park close to midnight and found the club house, patio, switch barn, and station lights all on.  Please turn off the lights in the areas that you are not using at that time.

For safety remember to carry a flashlight!

Tucson Garden Railway Society
May 22, 2008

 To all the members of
Maricopa Live Steamers;

As the Co-Chairman of our recently completed National Garden Railway Convention 2008, and as President of Tucson Garden Railway Society, I want to take this opportunity to thank the officers and members of MLS for their gracious help, hard work and assistance in making NGRC2008 one of the very best and most successful Conventions ever.  The comments from both attendees and vendors were uniformly congratulatory in praise of the Convention, and this would not have been possible without your diligent efforts.  Your dedication to your hobby and the work you have done at the Adobe Mountain Park is a great credit to each of you, and was greatly appreciated by those who availed themselves of your facilities.

Our TGRS members join me in extending our thanks and appreciation of your work, and we want you to know that we feel your efforts helped make NGRC2008 the success it was.

 Sincerely,
Norm Ulmer
President, TGRS,
Co-Chairman, NGRC2008
